Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ripple News (“Ripple,” “the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Ripple News is operated by JPM Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Ripple News is a personalized news application that aggregates news from public sources and uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized analyses (“Ripples”) explaining how news stories may affect you based on your profile information. The App provides:

  • Curated news stories from public RSS feeds
  • AI-generated personalized impact analyses
  • Story saving and bookmarking
  • Customizable content preferences

Account Registration

To use Ripple News, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during registration
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the App
  • Circumvent any rate limiting or usage restrictions
  • Redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit Ripple analyses without permission

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important: Ripple analyses are generated by artificial intelligence (OpenAI's GPT-4o) and are provided for informational purposes only. You understand and agree that:

  • AI-generated analyses may contain inaccuracies, errors, or outdated information
  • Ripple analyses do not constitute financial advice, legal advice, medical advice, or professional guidance of any kind
  • You should not make important life decisions based solely on Ripple analyses
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content
  • AI-generated analyses reflect algorithmic interpretation, not editorial judgment

News Content

News stories displayed in the App are aggregated from third-party public RSS feeds. We:

  • Process headlines and descriptions to remove editorial bias using AI
  • Do not create or editorially control the underlying news content
  • Do not guarantee the accuracy of news stories from third-party sources
  • Are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or opinions expressed in source articles

Usage Limits

The App includes usage limits to ensure service quality:

  • Ripple analysis generation is limited to 50 per day per user
  • These limits may be adjusted at our discretion
  • Exceeding or attempting to circumvent usage limits may result in temporary or permanent restriction of your account

Intellectual Property

  • The Ripple News app, its design, features, and branding are the property of JPM Inc.
  • AI-generated Ripple analyses are provided for your personal use
  • News content remains the property of its original publishers
  • You may share Ripple analyses through the App's built-in sharing features

Subscription and Pricing

Current access to Ripple News may be free or subject to subscription fees. We reserve the right to:

  • Introduce, modify, or remove subscription tiers
  • Change pricing with reasonable notice
  • Offer promotional pricing or free trial periods

Any paid subscriptions will be processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App ceases immediately
  • Your account data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind
  • We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability for any claims related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JPM Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
